Play suspended at NCAA Championship
May 21, 2008
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- TCU shot a second-round 310 Wednesday at the NCAA Women's Golf National Championship before play was suspended for the day due to high winds in Albuquerque. It was the second suspension of the afternoon at the University of New Mexico Championship Golf Course. Play had been halted for over two hours earlier in the day. The Frogs were one of just 12 teams to complete play. All but three of those squads saw their scores rise from Tuesday's opening round. No. 26 TCU went up 12 strokes from its first-day 298. Play will resume Thursday at 8 a.m. Central for those still on the course at the time of the suspension. The remaining tournament schedule will be adjusted and announced later this evening by the NCAA. Melissa Loh, one of three freshmen in TCU's five-player lineup, had the Frogs' low score on the day with a 76. Fellow TCU freshman Prisela Campbell and Carrie Morris, the Frogs' lone senior, both carded a 77. Campbell leads TCU with a 5-over 149 through 36 holes. Live scoring of Thursday's action is available at www.golfstat.com.
