James Sacheck (Zionsville, Ind./Zionsville H.S.) concluded the second round of action tied for 114th overall after a day two score of 80 on Thursday (May 29) at the 2008 NCAA Division I Men's Golf National Championships at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex in West Lafayette, Ind.

"The course was really, really hard if you miss the fairway - and unfortunately - I missed a lot of them today," said Sacheck. "I felt that I played well with my iron shots and putting today - but I had trouble with my drives today. The first nine holes were really brutal yesterday - but I thought that I hung in there and finished off the round in good shape."

Coming into the second day of competition - the TCU junior was tied for 73rd overall after shooting a six-over-par score of 78 then followed up that performance with an 80 on Thursday afternoon to close at 14-over-par 158 after 36 holes.

Bill Horschel of the University of Florida currently holds the lead after the second round of action with a five-under-par score of 139 while Clemson's Kyle Stanley is in second-place with a score of 140.

The third round of action will be held on Friday (May 30) at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex in West Lafayette, Ind.
