The following are quotes from some of TCU's top performers on Friday.
Darryl Anderson
"All-in-all, the qualifying areas went well for us. We didn't really do well in some events, but as I told the kids we have to live in the present and can't look back. We need to come in here tomorrow and win as many individual championships as we can because that's where we are at right now."
"Stormy Harrison and Candis Kelley were outstanding today. Stormy was phenomenal and that's the first time Candis has been beat in a Mountain West Conference Championship. I'm pleased that we get to keep that title in Fort Worth."
"We need to come back tomorrow and see what we can do. Hopefully, the kids will move forward and take care of the things they can control. If we can do that then we will see where the chips fall."
Stormy Harrison
"It feels real good to be a Mountain West Conference champion. Candis is mad at me right now, but we push each other everyday in practice. Today was all about adrenalin and it feels really good to walk away as a champion in our ring."
Virgil Hodge
"It means a whole lot to me that my mom got to see me run today for the first time in the U.S. She was probably pretty loud, but I couldn't hear her. It is a really good feeling to know she is here watching me. As a whole, I think I had a good day. I just got out bad in the 100, but I am going to fix that tomorrow. The 200 went really well and I think I will run much faster tomorrow once I get a better lane."
Justyn Warner
"I need to come out tomorrow and see if I can get back to running 10.23 in the 100. Today was all-right, but all that matters is that I qualified for the finals."
Clemore Henry
"I was just trying to get into the finals today and I accomplished that. Overall, I think everyone did good, but now we just have to comeback tomorrow and finish-up."
Mychal Dungey
"Today went pretty well, but it wasn't my best. I just need to comeback tomorrow and do what I normally do."
